Event Invoice - Excel - Limit results by date range

We need to be able to bill each month for events that happen during that month. Currently, event searches based on date range look for events with occurrences within the specified range, but then return the entire event and all its occurrences (outside of the month requested). This leads to potentially double charging for events that span multiple months.

I think this refers to the Invoice Details - Excel report? We would like the same capability in order to process monthly charges for our vehicle rentals. We have several departments that rent vehicles for extended periods, spanning months. We would like to run that report for a single month's charges, otherwise we need to create separate monthly reservations for these long term rentals.
